Rosalynn Mndolwa-Mworia

Rosalynn Mndolwa-Mworia has been appointed as the Managing Director (MD) of Mwananchi Communications Limited (MCL). The new MD has 29 years of experience spanning telecommunications, logistics, financial services, and insurance. She takes over from Bakari Machumu, who retired in August 2024 after two decades at the helm of MCL.

Her appointment was officially announced during a joint board meeting of the Nation Media Group and Mwananchi Communications Limited. In her new role, Rosalynn will be responsible for guiding MCL’s overall operations and strategic direction, with a strong focus on enhancing digital capabilities, expanding current business lines, and identifying new opportunities within the rapidly evolving media and content landscape.

Before joining Mwananchi, Rosalynn was the CEO and founder of Inspire Ventures Limited, a consultancy firm. She also held various senior leadership roles at Vodacom Tanzania PLC, including Corporate Affairs Director and CEO of the Vodacom Tanzania Foundation. Her track record highlights a deep commitment to corporate leadership and social impact.

In addition to her corporate roles, Rosalynn has served on the boards of public and non-profit organisations, such as the Marine Parks Reserve Unit under the Tanzanian government and Railway Children Africa, reflecting her dedication to sustainability and community development.

She holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Management Information Systems from Wayne State College in the United States. She is also a certified Executive Coach from the Academy of Executive Coaching and is widely respected for her strategic leadership and expertise in corporate communications.
