Tanzania is positioning itself as a regional healthcare hub as the 27th Medexpo Tanzania 2026 brings together medical and pharmaceutical firms from more than 20 countries seeking opportunities in the East African market.

The three-day exhibition, running from September 2–4 at the Diamond Jubilee Expo Centre in Dar es Salaam, will attract manufacturers, distributors, investors and healthcare providers, with Health Minister Mohamed Mchengerwa expected to officiate the opening.

Exhibitors from China, India, Singapore, the United Kingdom, Pakistan, Sweden, Turkey, Kenya, Russia and the United States, among others, will showcase surgical instruments, hospital furniture, laboratory equipment, diagnostic systems, dental solutions and pharmaceutical innovations.

Beyond showcasing new technology, the expo will provide a platform for suppliers and buyers to establish direct sourcing relationships and explore opportunities across Tanzania and the wider East African healthcare market.

The event is supported by institutions including TanTrade, the Medical Stores Department, the Pharmacy Council, the Tanzania Medicines and Medical Devices Authority, and the Tanzania Investment Centre, reflecting its growing role in linking healthcare investment, procurement, and technology.

The programme will also include product launches, live demonstrations, and networking sessions for hospital procurement teams, pharmacists, clinicians, distributors, and healthcare investors.
