The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has published revised voter registration figures for the 2025 general elections, indicating a total of 3,622,255 registered voters. This shows a slight decline from the previously reported 37,847,255.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, the Commission also confirmed that 99,895 polling stations will be used across the country, down from 99,911, following adjustments by the Zanzibar Electoral Commission (ZEC).

Of the total registered voters, 37,550,992 are from Mainland Tanzania and 296,263 are from Zanzibar. Women account for 19,050,001 voters, or 50.34% of the electorate, while men make up 18,796,254, representing 49.66%. The polling network will include 97,246 stations on the Mainland and 2,567 in Zanzibar.
